I saw the Cowboy Bebop Netflix trailer yesterday (okay as of writing this, it was actually today but y’know what I mean: it was before I slept), and it’s nice and all to see so many characters (lots of them being antagonists) return, as they’re all shown in the intro, but……. didn’t they say it wouldn’t be just a 1:1 remake? If so, why: why is the intro pretty much just that? I mean it looks cool, I like the look of it, but is it really worth pouring all that money into a series only to just do what’s done before? I still want to be really optimistic, and I’d totally watch a 1:1 live-action remake but, from a creative point of view, this project in itself seems redundant. I’m typing this from my uni accommodation! It’s a perfect sized room and plenty of space to display my favourite things but, for some reason, the summer weather’s decided to stick around well into September and, since the window barely opens, it is immensely warm in here at all times of day!
